Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Partner to lead client acquisition and partnership development for our Japan–Africa advisory services.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the firm’s presence among Japanese corporations, trading companies, investors, and institutions interested in African markets.
This role requires strong relationship-building skills, a strategic mindset, and an understanding of international business development and consulting services.
Key Responsibilities
・Identify and develop new business opportunities among Japanese companies interested in Africa.
・Build relationships with corporations, trading companies, investment firms, and business organizations.
・Promote Intellink Nippon’s services including:
ーMarket research and intelligence
ーPartner identification and business matching
ーExpert advisory and consulting
・Lead client outreach, presentations, and commercial proposals.
・Represent the firm at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
・Develop strategic partnerships with industry associations, chambers of commerce, and trade organizations.
・Work closely with the research team to translate client needs into advisory projects.
・Maintain strong client relationship management and follow-up.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, International Relations, Economics, or a related field.
Experience in business development, consulting, trade promotion, or international business.
Strong network within Japanese corporate or international business circles.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to engage senior decision-makers in corporate environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with Africa-related business projects.
Familiarity with Japanese trading companies, manufacturers, or international investors.
Bilingual ability (Japanese and English) strongly preferred.
