**Position Overview**
We are seeking an Africa-based Market Analyst to support our market intelligence activities across multiple African economies.
The analyst will contribute to research reports, sector analysis, and commercial briefings designed primarily for Japanese corporate clients evaluating opportunities in Africa.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical skills, regional market knowledge, and experience researching business environments across African markets.
**Key Responsibilities**
・Conduct market research and sector analysis across African economies.
・Monitor economic trends, investment developments, and policy changes relevant to foreign investors.
・Prepare market briefs, industry reports, and investment insights for international clients.
・Support research related to trade, investment, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, agriculture, and consumer markets.
・Identify reliable local companies, distributors, or partners relevant to client projects.
・Contribute to commercial due diligence and partner screening assignments.
・Assist in compiling country profiles and sector opportunity assessments.
・Provide local insights and context to support cross-border advisory work.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.
Strong understanding of African market dynamics and regional business environments.
Experience in market research, economic analysis, consulting, or investment research.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong English writing skills (professional report writing required).
Familiarity with Japanese business interests in Africa is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with international consulting firms, research institutions, or development organizations.
Ability to conduct interviews with industry stakeholders or local companies.
Knowledge of regional economic communities (ECOWAS, SADC, EAC, etc.).
Additional language skills (Japanese, French, Portuguese, Arabic) are an advantage.
